Malaysia, being a
multi-racial and multi-religious country, sees quite a few

practised. Some are national holidays, while others are specific
to a few states. Whatever the origin, one thing that is common

Christmas 25th December 2008
Celebrate the Yuletide joy in the tropical warmth - Malaysian style!!! Again, open houses are a norm, with the Christmas spirit, alive and well. Churches will hold midnight masses. Major shopping complexes and indeed the city of KL itself, comes to live with a sea of lights and decorations.
Restaurants will have special Christmas menus for those away from home yearning for a trditional Christmas dinner. Reservations are a must, as most of the restaurants will be fully booked.
New Year's Count down - 31st December 2008
This will be throughtout all major shopping complexes, restaurants, bistros and other entertainment outlets in the city. For those who wish to enjoy the open air, and there will be a gathering of people at Dataran Merdeka for the countdown at the clock tower and also at Putrajaya.
